Trains run on time....and honesty

水曜日の朝、いつも　私は　烏丸地下鉄から　阪急電車に乗り換えます。駅が　大きく、込 んでいます。京都の中心にある駅が　四条と烏丸のふたつです。　７時６分の電車に　乗っています。


ICカード　　を　使います。　ある日、　一万円をチャッジしました。　一時間後に目的駅につくと、　ICカードに　　少し　しかチャージがないのでびっくりしました。



帰る時、　おなじ駅を利用しました。　私は　言いました。　「今日の朝、７時ごろ、　 ICカード　　、　一万円　チャッジ。。。」



駅の人は　言いました。　「ちょっと　待って　下さい。」　 彼は　ポリ袋　を　見させていた。　中には一万円が入っていた。

5 August Diary


Every Wednesday, I transfer from the Karasuma subway to the Hankyu train. The station is big and crowded. It is in the middle of Kyoto at Shijo and Karasuma stations. I transfer to the 7:06 train. I use an IC card. One day, I charged 100 dollars to my IC card. An hour later, at my destination,　I was surprised to see that the IC card had only a small amount on it.

On my way home, I used the same station and the same exit. I said, “This morning…about 7 o’clock…IC card…one hundred dollars…”

The station attendant said, “Please wait a moment.” He showed me a plastic bag. My hundred dollar bill was inside.
