Sunrise series: 25 April 2010. Sun over Mt. Hiei

Sunrise over Mt. Hiei (below) today, 25 April 2010. Glare from sun blocks out peak of Mt. Hiei. Rooftop fence calibrates six units to the "left" until summer solstice.


Last year, summer solstice sunrise was at the "right" edge of the paired peaks visible in this photo.

The precession of the equinoxes joined, too, by dedicated digital camera (canon powershop A590) which was preceded by a cell phone camera (Vodafone 802SE).

Mt. Hiei is the tallest in the range of eastern Kyoto at 848.1 metres (2,782 ft).
